Howlin' T-Wolf

The Wolves take on the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight and in the process look to avenge the loss they suffered at the Thunder’s hands just last Sunday. Here are today’s Wolf Tracks:

Timberwolf Tracks:

• Wolves’ forward Al Jefferson saw himself playing down the stretch on Wednesday during the game with the Hawks. It’s usually a good thing to have one of your better players on the floor when you’re vying for a win.
• With gearing up towards possibly dishing out millions to a free agent in the offseason and cutting season ticket prices by 50%, the Wolves are projected to lose $25 million next year.
• Darko Milicic a fantasy basketball sleeper, you ask? Better believe it!

Darko Milicic, C, Minnesota Timberwolves: Considering Milicic had played in a total of seven games before getting traded to the Timberwolves, it’s not a huge stretch to say he’s in a better situation now. How much value does he have in fantasy? Well, not much. Even when he shows some promise, we’ve been down this road enough to begin to understand that it never lasts. Still, the guy is a really good shot-blocker, and seeing as blocks are always at a premium in fantasy, if you are desperate, you could do worse than Milicic. He’s yet to prove he’s worth owning based on his performance in any other categories, but there’s a decent chance Milicic will put up somewhere in the vicinity of two blocks per game for the remainder of the season, and based on that number, he’ll certainly be worth owning in some situations.

Truehoop Tracks:

• Everyone is giving Hasheem Thabeet criticism for, well, being bad. He was sent to the NBA’s Developmental League yesterday and Truehoop’s Henry Abbott says that this is a good thing and that he ought to not be laughed at nor feel humiliated.

• Former NBA All-Star, Alvin Robertson, has been charged with several accounts of sexual harassment.
