Wolf Tracks 3/16

The Wolves travel to Phoenix tonight for a duel in the desert while looking to snap an eight game losing streak. Here are today’s Wolf Tracks:

Timberwolf Tracks:

  • The Bleacher Report, as well as many others now, believe that Evan Turner should be the guy for the Wolves. With the NCAA Tournament starting in a few short days, the Wolves’ front office and fans should pay close attention to the Ohio State Buckeye.
  • Rodney Carney of the Philadelphia 76ers, says that there is a possibility of teams tanking on purpose to better their draft position. What about the Wolves?

The Timberwolves started tanking 2009-10 back in June. The 76ers? Probably about a month ago. The Knicks? The minute they hired Donnie Walsh.

  • Being sparked and enthused by workout trainer, Ivan Radin, Big Al Jefferson is not content with settling for mediocrity. He plans to hire Radin, in hope of being in the best shape possible for next season.

Truehoop Tracks:

  • A good game last night between Houston and Denver had plenty of heroes.
  • Rated PG-13: Maybe the funniest short slip I’ve seen in some while, and it stars one of the Wolves’ enemies tonight, Steve Nash.
  • Unlike his Louisville counterpart, Earl Clark, whom was just sent to the Phoenix Suns’ D-League affiliate, Terrence Williams has had a decent rookie campaign and truly is “Mr. Versatility” for the New Jersey Nets.

Other Tracks:

  • The current basketball era is ever-changing, as the phenomenon of advanced stats keeps changing the way people look at the game. John Hollinger has now created PER (Player Efficiency Rating) for college players. Go on, take a look. Check out where John Wall is, and Evan Turner, or all the other potential T-Wolves.
