Jonny Flynn having hip surgery in Colorado today. Sounds like 3 -4 month time is right, should know more 2day after surgery. #Timberwolves
Trading Ramon Sessions the day news breaks that Flynn needs surgery?
How Timberwolves-like?! You know, ironic?
With Flynn out going into the season, the Wolves now have to find a back-up point guard. Do they trade Koufos for one? Do they sign a veteran to a one-year, veteran minimum deal to back up Ridnour? Or do they let newly acquired Sebastian Telfair get another chance in a Wolves uniform?
It’s safe to say that things haven’t gone as planned this summer. Our offseason of questionable moves have only been the reason for others around the league to ridicule this flailing franchise as it teeters on the edge. Will things ever turn around?
No, better question: Will things ever bottom out?

At this point calling this off season a joke would be polite. It’s gotten to the point where even John Hollinger is making the “KHAAAAAN” joke on twitter. I don’t k now what this GM is doing or if there’s even a plan in place to bring this team back to respectability. Honestly, if you reported today that David Khan is intentionally making these random, moronic moves in an attempt to keep the wolves awful until we finally get a #1 over all pick and maybe land a Kevin Durant or Dwight Howard
And the saddest part, how long was Kevin McHale in charge before Glen Taylor finally fired him? 14 years? 15? Can you imagine David Khan given even 4 more years at the helm? I’m seriously considering dumping this team and finding a new franchise. The fans don’t deserve this.
Well put. It is hard to stay aboard such a shaky, unstable ship, even as just a fan because we’re only here for the ride.
I will say this: 4 more years with Kahn could bring prosperity or despair to the heart of Minnesota basketball. That could be the perfect timeline as to whether or not this team will stay in Minneapolis or not.
I was interested and even a little amused by all the maneuvering…up until this latest move with Sessions. As a matter of fact, I started following you blog as I became more interested in what the wolves might do. Now his moves seems so random….and tiresome.
They seem very random to the average fan, but to Kahn, every move made could be involved in his plan. You can look at this roster and think that they are 10 steps behind or 10 steps ahead of everyone in the league. It just all depends on how you want to look at it: There’s a lot to be optimistic about and a lot to be pessimistic about.
